B. Pharm(I & III Sem) students with their teachers visited B. Laboratories. Pvt. Ltd.” (A NABL Accredited - Leading Pharma Testing Unit of India). The company was divided in three areas, Chemical Lab, Instrumentation Lab and Microbiological Lab. In chemical laboratory area, students learned about different evaluation parameters of dosage forms via dissolution apparatus, disintegration, pH meter, hot air oven and distillation assembly. In the Instrumentation Lab, students got an exposure of highly sophisticated instruments like HPLC, UV, FT-IR and Gas chromatography. The third area was Microbiology Lab in which they learnt about different culture medias, LAF, aseptic room and fumigation.This visit would be beneficial for the students to remember the studies in a better way and offer better opportunities for learning. A laboratory is not a contest whose object is to get the right answer but the purpose is to learn how to gain knowledge, how to observe and to learn the meaning of what happens. When they observe various things and carry out different experiments, their reasoning skills are honed and they start thinking deeply on those theories and concepts.

The visit was useful for the students as they will got exposure of the functioning of drug testing unit and its different sections. Through the visit students gained practical knowledge of various drug testing techniques.
